Join us for a joyful and interactive afternoon with children’s book author Aimee Ryan as we celebrate her book, Take Us Somewhere. This special gathering marks Verse & Voices’ first-ever children’s author event, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome young readers and their families!

Designed especially for kids, this event is all about storytelling, creativity, and hands-on fun. Bring your little readers, your curiosity, and your imagination!

What You Can Expect:

• Reading Time with Aimee Ryan: Settle in as Aimee does a live reading of Take Us Somewhere. Kids will journey through the story together, experiencing the magic of storytelling firsthand.

• Audience Q&A: Curious minds are encouraged! Children (and grown-ups) can ask Aimee questions about the book, how she became an author, and where her ideas come from.

• Crafting Session: After the reading, it’s time to get creative! Kids can enjoy coloring pages inspired by Take Us Somewhere, along with additional crafts designed to bring the story’s adventure to life.

This is a free, family-friendly event and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading together.

NOTE: As this is Verse & Voices’ first children’s author, I wanted to do something special for the kids in our community, specifically for the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Virginia. This event will act as a fundraiser benefiting the Boys and Girls Club, and The Bibliopub will donate a matching gift!
